Activating Your Gold Card

To begin using your Gold virtual card, simply activate it in-app by following the on-screen instructions. This quick and easy process ensures your card is ready for all transactions, whether online or offline.

Deposit Funds from Solana and Polygon

The Gold card supports deposits from two blockchain networks: Solana and Polygon. Here’s a breakdown of the supported currencies and check out the guide for deposits here. https://help.basedapp.io/en/articles/10301080-how-to-deposit-funds-into-your-basedgold-card

• Solana Network: Deposit USDC and SOL

• Polygon Network: Deposit USDC, USDC.e, or XSGD

Multiple Deposits for Flexibility

The Gold card allows you to hold multiple currencies simultaneously, including SOL, USD, and SGD deposits. Here’s how it works:

• If your default currency is USD, you spend 1:1 in USD.

• If your default currency is SGD, you spend 1:1 in SGD.

For transactions in currencies other than your default, Visa FX rates will apply, just like with a regular bank card. Users also have the convenience of swapping currencies in-app or letting us handle the auto-conversion for you (see Smart Convert feature).

Smart Convert Feature: Auto-Swap Crypto to Fiat for Purchases

One of the standout features of the Gold Card is Smart Convert, which automatically swaps your crypto into fiat currency at the point of purchase. When you spend, we ensure the best rate is applied for the transaction.

For example:

• If your card’s default currency is USD and you're paying for a ChatGPT subscription, we will attempt to deduct the USD first.

  

  
  

• If your card holds multiple currencies, we will determine the best route for the purchase.
